As has already been said, Chris lit up a room when he entered. He was a great captain of the Lamb Cricket Club and a legend on tour. Things always happened when Chris was around and he got into a few scrapes but managed to get out of them with his cheeky smile and bags of charisma. He always thought of others and now others are fondly thinking of him. Jon Curtis (Lamb CC) (01.06.2007) Where you do you start with lovable rouge like Chris? Always smiling, always happy? sometimes in life you meet a person, which will always make an impression on your life and that was Chris. I loved his attitude to life, and that was to live it to the full, which he achieved in his sadly far too short years. If I remember Chris, as I will always do, I will always remember him with a smile on his face, and that is a fitting tribute to the that guy he was, and I am proud to call him my cousin. Colin Walker (01.06.2007) I have to many good memories of Chris to write. Perhaps they are better told over a pint at the corridor, though they would never be as well told as those told by Chris. He didn't simply light up a room. He was the room and it was a privalege to be in his shadow. I thank God that I could call him "mate". Dimmo aka Mark Dimmock Mark Dimmock Dimmo (31.05.2007) Despite our age difference(15 years) we were the closest of buddies, the kind of friends you have 3 or 4 of in your life if you are very lucky. Chris was equally comfortable in young or older company & was always more concerned about his mates than himself, selfless in every respect his presence in a room super charged the atmosphere like no other person i have met, he wil be sorely missed by me and an army of other mates Mike Davis (30.05.2007) |
